Melanie Kerber

Melanie Kerber was hired as the Executive Director of WET in February 2020. She is
a retired school superintendent from the Blackhawk School District in Beaver Falls,
Pennsylvania with a lengthy career as a teacher, consultant, administrator and
college professor. Since joining WET she has formed partnerships with area schools
and businesses, organized environmental programs for area students, applied for and
received grant funding for WET initiatives and streamlined membership rosters. Melanie holds a Doctor of
Special Education degree with a minor in administration from West Virginia University where she was
inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2007. Melanie and her husband reside in Ocean Pines and they have a
son, Brandon, living in metropolitan New York City.
